A Deluxe Experience with Alhambra Views

Deluxe Rooms . . . A Moorish Masterpiece

Our Deluxe Rooms have great views of the tree lined Darro River bank and the stunning Alhambra rising above it. The poetry of Juan Ramon Jimenez is the theme we have chosen for our Deluxe Rooms, with room names including "La Fuente Opalina" and "El Sueño de Isabel" which when translated mean “The Opaline Fountain” and “The Dream of Isabel”.

All our Deluxe Rooms feature unique artistic elements giving this Alhambra hotel a unique Arts style.   All of our rooms have generous sized beds with top quality bed linen.  The floors are tiled with terracotta tiles with the addition of oriental rugs to create a relaxed feel.  Beautiful solid wooden ceilings are a key feature of all our rooms indicating this 16th century building’s Moorish past.  Every room in our well located Granada Hotel has been individually decorated and the furniture has been hand selected to suit the mood of the room.  Gentle but effective lighting, including LED bedside reading lamps, add to the intimacy of all of our rooms.

Each Deluxe Room has a full en suite bathroom with the finest tiling and invigorating power showers, where you can enjoy luxury amenities by Molton Brown.  There are also flat screen TVs in every room and free WiFi is available in all rooms and communal areas.

Our aim at El Ladron de Agua is to make your stay perfect in every way.  Our staff are on hand to help you with any queries you might have before or during your stay with us.   Let us help you make the most of our vibrant city and our well located Alhambra hotel.  Spend your days and evenings exploring the Alhambra and the Albayzin with its narrow streets and excellent tapas restaurants, safe in the knowledge you can easily pop back to the cool oasis of our well located Granada Hotel whenever you want!

Charming hotel

This charming boutique three-star hotel proofs that there is no need for a five-star hotel to make a night in Granada an enchanting one. I stayed here for one night with my sons for a visit to the Alhambra during a summer Holiday in Málaga. First of all, the hotel is perfectly located on the Darro River, a few steps from Plaza Nueva with its tapas restaurants at the bottom of the Alhambra Hill. Our room faced the Alhambra. Excellent Experience

Great location and views - especially the suite of course. Very historic and atmospheric. Glass of sherry in the library always a good start to the evening. We always like to eat breakfast out so cannot comment on that.

Our Hotel

This 16th century noble house has been skilfully restored into a beautiful hotel with fifteen guestrooms. El Ladron de Agua, meaning "The Water Thief", is taken from the title of a poem by Juan Ramon Jimenez in Olvidos de Granada and is a showcase for local and regional art.

Our Legacy

On his visit to Granada, Juan Ramon Jimenez was taken by Granada's beauty and wrote a poetry collection drawing on his many Grenadine experiences; a collection now housed in the hotel library.

A winter stay

Wonderful hotel, great location, super service. I would - and will - definitely recommend. We had a room at the front which overlooked Career Del Darro - views up to the Alhambra. We stayed in a superior room but all those I saw were good.
